Bob Royal is a co-owner and operator of the Snap Fitness in Gloucester Twp.NJ

"I got tired of working out at the big box fitness centers.The crowds the long lines waiting to use the equipment and the atmosphere was getting to intimidating. So my partner Nichole Parks and I decided to open a Snap fitness to offer the community of Gloucester Twp. a fast,convenient and affordable solution to meet your fitness needs".

Ann Carter said "When I retired in February, one of my priorties was to finally start taking time to work out on a regular basis instead of just doing what fit into my busy work schedule. I joined Snap Fitness in Gloucester Township soon after it opened because it was close to my house, was reasonable and open "24/7". I have stayed an enthusiastic member because I really like everything about it. I usually go six days a week and spend most of my time on the treadmill (the best I've ever used), but the arch trainer and other equipment are great, too. I have belonged to numerous gyms over the years and this is by far the best. The facility is modern and immaculate, the equipment is all anyone could ask for and the owners are friendly and helpful. I especially like the diversity of the membership---there are all ages, races, shapes and sizes and there is a very"non-threatening", member-friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it!"

Meet another one of our sucessful members.Nicole has been a member here at Snap Fitness for about 7 months"I chose Snap Fitness for it's 24/7 availability and location.I work full time and go to school full time.So it's tough to go to the gym at a "normal" time.But Snap fits my life style.So far I have lost a total of 35 pounds.Joining Snap Fitness helped me gain more self confidence in myself and has also changed my life style completely.I like Snap Fitness for the convience,the location,the friendly atmoshere and I never have to wait for equipment.The people here are very nice and encouraging.Which is a big plus!There has never been a feeling of intimidation here at Snap Fitness like other gyms.I would not work out any where else!"

Congradulations to the Snap Fitness softball team Of Gloucester Twp. New Jersey in winning their 3rd straight championship in 2009  playing in the Mens over 45 49ner's league.Our 2009 record was 28 wins with only 5 losses.

Robert Kline

Robert asks the question"Can exercise help arthritis?

  I am 75 years old and for the last 20 years I have had difficulty with my knees.I blame the problem primarily on my sports endeavers over the years.All athletes eventually suffer from sore knees.

  I suffered for years until my doctor gave me glucosamine sulfate(1500 mg/day) and after 3 months I got some relief.However I was still favoring my knees. Next step was to go to a Rheumatologist.He took 3 oz. of fluid out of my knees and suggested I start a series of Hyalgan injections.After I started the injections I asked for a Physical Therapist to help me.After 6 weeks I was doing a lot better but still was limping.

  Eventually my wife finally convinced me to join Snap Fitness in May of 2009. I exercise at Snap 5-6 days a week.My walking ability has improved significantly.Is my improvement solely the result of exercise?I know it has had a great effect on my knees and give it a lot of credit.

  I am also on an experimental arthritis medication which is likely helping.But exercising seems to be a great help!
